Not all pictures tell a story, but these do.

Thanking YHWH for His encouragement and inspiration, I said, ‘this one is for You’. I was referring to the image (above left) on this page. It was done on a computer using digital editing software. It is an abstract composition that caught my attention that day. The round shape and colors reminded me of the Earth and the horizontal lines took on facial characteristics in some way. At least to me it did. I saved it and did not think much about it afterwards. Not until three days later.
December 1, 2005, driving home at about 4:40 PM in the afternoon heading west on Grand Avenue in Escondido, CA, stopping as the light turned red, putting on my left turn signal at the intersection of Ash & Grand. As I was waiting for the light to change, glancing up at the sky I could not believe what I was seeing. At the same time, Stevie Wonder’s song, Ribbons in the Sky, came on the radio. OMG! I quickly turned the corner and into the parking lot of the building that my mom lived in, rushing up the stairs and onto the patio grabbing my camera to catch that picture in the sky. The photograph is top right.
I printed both - the digital computer jpeg and the photograph and started showing them to people asking if they thought they resembled each other. The majority said yes. But they also added this comment: “Yes, Jill. They do look alike. You did a wonderful job making an abstract digital image from that photograph of the sky.” Then I showed them the dates. The digital image was done three days BEFORE the photograph was taken of the sky, not afterwards. Everyone, including myself, was speechless.
Was YHWH responding as if to say, thanks, this one is for you! (??)

After painting this multi-color kind of pastel abstract on pressed wood board (shown below, left) it looked somewhat like half of a rainbow but with a large orange stripe running right through the middle. I tried to fix it but decided that I liked it the way it was - not so traditional, you know. It was pretty. So, again, I looked up and thanked God for His help and inspiration, and said (hoping it would be heard in spirit), "this one is for You!". Then I went towards the kitchen, got the garbage from under the sink, and was going to toss it in the garbage shoot at the end of the hall. As I walked toward the front door, something caught my attention outside as I quickly glanced at the patio. I went to the patio to see what I was looking at... There it was - a HUGE rainbow right in front of me covering the entire sky! Look at the photographs below here. This is what I saw. The rainbow had a HUGE ORANGE STRIPE down the middle that looked like an exclamation mark! What do you think.
